    So we were just about to start our first cycle of IVF for baby #2 when our clinic decided we needed refresher genetic counselling for PGD. We attended the counselling today and they advised us that the technology we used last time for PGD is no longer available and they now use a different process (now outsourced!) so we have to have a new test developed for our specific gene mutation and this will take 6 months! We went through all of this with baby #1 and I can't believe they now say we have to do it all again. All of our extended family will have to have bloods taken again so that they can map the gene all over again. I'm furious with the clinic for just advising us now.

    I'm so mad at them. I feel like all they care about is making money (hence why they outsourced). I don't see why they can't use all our test results from last time but apparently not. I'm going to speak to another clinic that does PGD. I figure if we have to start again we might as well move to another clinic that we are happy with.

    OMG Mummalove that's ridiculous... So they'll be setting you back 6 months!!! I'd be finding a different clinic too. Gosh they really make is jump through hoops sometimes.

    Caketin what's happening with you?
    What about everyone else?
    I'm still waiting for my appt with Dr M next week. It's been the longest wait everrrrrrrr

    I managed to get my initial consult bumped up to later this month. Had to switch fs to do it, but since mine has left the clinic and I hadn't met my new one yet it didn't really matter!

    I'm going in at 1pm tomorrow for transfer. We have 5 at hatching morulas, 1x12 cell and 1x11 cell which were towards hatching. Sounds promising and we might have some to freeze.

    I'm basically all booked in to have my FET on Fri Sept 11. The FN who has been helping me for the last few months via email said that the worst case scenario (lining-wise) is that it may be pushed back to Mon Sept 14, but we will definitely aim for the 11th. My dad booked flights for me PER-BNE business class using frequent flyers, and also booked and paid for my hotel! All flexi, so if I do have to change to the Monday it should be okay. FN has also posted my scripts for Progynova and Crinone, and my scan referral and treatment plan to my parents in Perth, so I can pick up my drugs as soon as I arrive, and book a scan in for around CD 11.

    Six weeks tomorrow until I fly home!

    Sariele your cycle sounds like it's planned to a T. It's great you have date to look forward to. I think we will cycling around the same time too but I can't be sure yet.
