My sister sent me this article about aunties and said it summed me up perfectly. It meant so much and I cried like a baby. I love my nephew as if he were my own and a day with him is heaven in my eyes and even more so while we struggle with infertility,

I was babysitting last night and on the way back from sports training the little 7 year old kept looking at me intently. After asking her what was up a few times and getting told nothing and continually finding her staring at me in my peripheral vision, I said, "Do I have something on my face? Haha what are you looking at!" And she looks down and says "I'm just looking at how beautiful you are..." Heart melt. 💖

I picked up DS from CC yesterday. On the way in two mums stopped to tell me how delightful my son is. Then I went into his room, and his little mate took one look at me and sprinted out to the yard, yelling "[DS]! Your mummy's here! Your mummy's here!' Then DS saw me, jumped off the swing and sprinted from outside to the door and jumped into my arms, grinning and yelling 'mummy! My mummy!'
It was nice :-)

I can't drive due to medical condition and my parents purposely bought a 7 seater to help do childcare drop offs, medical apps etc. I'm so greatful.

I took my DS to the movies for the first time today and he was really good!
He has ASD and has trouble sitting still, so I didn't know how it would go, but it was a fun experience. We watched the whole movie

DS came in and snuggled into bed with me this morning. He gave me a huge hug and said "Good morning mum, I love you". Best thing ever to wake up to!
