About 5 nights ago I awoke to some strange loud noises in the middle of the night. I was actually scared it was some sort of ghost action (!) but the next night it was obvious that it was a huge critter.
It wanders loudly throughout the ceiling and the enclosed chimney.
Does anyone have experience with problematic possums inhabiting your home? What course of action did you take?
We are renting this house and I'm not sure if it's something the landlord is obligated to help with.
It's mega loud and prevents me from sleeping properly :/

Noisy big ol' possum in the roof!

We had a possum/possums in the roof when I still lived with my parents. From what I can remember, my dad went up into the roof to patch any holes with wire mesh to prevent them coming in. He then set up some box traps with fruit to catch the possum that was trapped in the roof, and set it free the next day.
I'm not sure what the landlord's responsibility is, but I hope it gets sorted for you soon!
