There is definitely nastiness on The Bub Hub sometimes- especially in anything that people have strong opinions on- I've seen replies and thought woah that was nasty! but I think more often than not and something that certainly prevails is an incredible amount of empathy compassion and caring when it's truly needed.
The nastiness is rarely personal- I think it's more that people just feel strongly about things and become offended at one another for suggestions against how they feel or ideals that they (and effectively their parenting choices/values) may be "wrong" - yourself included
I hope you don't go- you may find people who you disagree with and feel offended by offering kindness/support and agreeing with you wholeheartedly in another, unrelated thread. I think it's rarely a personal/bullying type thing. Feel better lovely!

As for PMs I personally have only ever received supporting, caring and helpful PMs - some of which have really helped me get through some awful and truly disheartening situations. It's worth it I promise
