I'm not going to make a doctors appointment for this as it's just a bit weird.
I've got a cold upper lip (mostly on the right side) since Tuesday.
I've Googled it with not much luck.
Has anyone any clue to what it could be? It's just odd isn't it, and very annoying.
Every now and then my lip feels almost minty cold, you know that feeling.
It's not all the time but most of the time.
No other issues, fairly healthy as far as I know. No cold sore, tingling or redness either.
The hypchondriac in me has me imagining all sorts of horrible outcomes.

Not a doctor, but I get "hot feelings" in my limbs etc, and the doctor told me it could be nerve damage. The thing is , these types of things can signal other serious issues. I'd at least call health direct and see if they think you need to see a doctor.

Keep a really close eye out for any drooping...odd feelings in your lips are what a lit of my patients report as a first sign when they present with bell’s palsy. Are u preggers or recently given birth?

I have a four month old DD.
I will definitely keep an eye out.

I understand that it can be caused by a number of things - anything from anxiety and stress all the way up to stroke, muscular dystrophy or bells palsy.
essentially, no one is going to be able to tell you - you need to go to the Doctor and see.
If you do not have other symptoms, then I wouldnt stress about it too much, just make an appointment with your Dr and see what he/she says.
(I would go sooner rather than later though, as if it is indicating some issue it is always better to see to it earlier)

This actually happened to me a few months PP and it freaked me out so I called the 13 health phoneline. I thought I was going to have a stroke or something, it was so weird.
I am pleased to report it turned out to be nothing in my case and it resolved itself when I eventually got to sleep that night.
I would at least ring the 13 health line and hopefully it will return to normal soon.
