Just poking my head in to say hello!
@sunny79 - you have NO idea how excited I am for you! I hope everything continues to go well for you!!! Such fabulous news!
@Blue246 - so sorry for your loss. It's super hard. My miscarriage was the same thing. I know you were hoping that the PGD normality of your embryos guarded you from miscarriage, but even so, there is so much more going on than just the genetic normality of your emby to ensure pregnancy results, that as sunny79 said, it's a miracle anyone ever has babies! I hope you get your answers and the next round is your time to shine!
@ivfstruggle - Congrats! Hope all is still ok.
    @Spec - Hi

AFM - my little one started prep this month, very exciting. It did bring home to me that this is it, no more babies in my house. I still struggle with it at times, but for the most part I'm OK. I also turn 40 this year, which was always going to be my cut off for any more attempts which saddens me a bit too. On the plus side, I'm training for a half marathon in April - my plan is to run 6 half marathons in my 40th year. We will see how that goes!

My goodness 6 marathons kizmetzing!! You go girl! Thanks for your excitement.
I have hit 15 weeks but since 12 weeks quite a bit of bleeding and fluid leaking so I just can't be comfortable. The baby is still there and heart beat good. There is nothing I or anyone can do except wait. Doesn't make telling people easy though, I am not exactly joyous!

    Hi Girls,
Awesome @kizmetzing! Good luck with all the running! I'm more of a '4km is enough' kinda runner!
@sunny79 that sucks about the bleeding etc. I don't know that you ever relax about the health of pregnancy but bleeding certainly would make me more anxious. Are you getting more frequent checkups cos of the bleeding?
AFM - Results of last miscarriage show normal chromosomes so something else is going on. That was my 5th miscarriage at about week 6 or 7. First two were not tested but second two were chromosomally abnormal. So this last one indicates that it's either auto-immune issues, attachment issues or something else. So plan is to try again in a couple of months with a whole array of medications and injections on board to thin my blood and suppress my immune system. If none of that works then it's shut up shop for us.

Sorry, that I've fallen off the face of the planet (again!). We've had some extended family health scares but looks like everyone is back on track now thankfully.
I've been thinking of you all regularly and have been meaning to pop in.
The last post on here was a while ago, so I'm hoping that means everyone is traveling well.
Always have my fingers crossed for you all xx

Hello just thought I would pop in and introduce myself as I just completed a cycle at Geelong MIVF. I HAD 5 eggs all fertilised and was told they were doing well on day 3 but on FET day they rung and told me not to bother coming in as they were all gone. Very disappointing and left me wondering if they should have done a day 3 transfer. For my next cycle I am going to go to a different doctor. My friend was doing it just before me and the difference in our tests and medications was very interesting. She had a fragmenting embryo day 3 that they put in just for something to put in and she had a successful pregnancy. I can't believe how different the different doctors treat.
I live a few hours from Geelong but I am moving back in a few months and so excited to be back where I consider home. I am pretty new so I need to familiarise myself with the rules about mentioning names etc before I post a bit more. Good luck to everyone

    Welcome WeightyKeighty,

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience that left you questioning everything. It's a hard enough road without things like that happening.

I actually don't know the rules in regards to naming people. I've only ever said names when I'm saying something positive, my suggestion would to be avoid naming the ones you have something negative to say about as it could be considered defamation.

Hoping we can give you some good advice though, and that you get your BFP soon.

    Hi and welcome @Weightykeighty,
We went through a Geelong Monash IVF specialist and had embryo transfer number one at Geelong too (ended in preg but miscarried). But our actual egg collection, fertilisation and growth to 5 days was done at Monash Hawthorn because we also got PGS testing done on the to screen them for healthy or unhealthy chromomsal makeup. If you are not confident with your specialist, I'd say definitely change to someone else and explain all of what you said above. Seems like a diff protocol of ivf drugs could be the way to go for you.

As for me, we were lucky enough to get 5 tested healthy embryos to freeze. So we are going to try another embryo next month with a whole array of crazy meds in the hope that we can get a take home baby and not another miscarriage. We'll see.

Welcome and please ask any questions along the way. I have info somewhere on what my protocol was and can dig it out for you if you like.

Thanks @Spec and @Blue246. After deliberating further, I have seen that my specialist is probably the most highly qualified so i am going tback to him. But i am going to voice my concerns and tell him what i was not happy about. It is 3 hours to Geelong for me and if i were to then go to Melbourne, it would add 2.5 hours onto a round trip. @Blue246 you are lucky to have freezies - that was my goal. Good luck

@Blue246 how are things going with your transfer this month? I'm not sure if your gearing up for it or if you're already PUPO. Either way best wishes 🤞

How is everyone else traveling too?

    Hi @Spec,
Thanks for checking in. Hope everyone else is well too.

I am officially PUPO. Had FET yesterday. Nothing else to report at this stage, just wait and see. I am on a crazy array of drugs to try to avoid miscarriage number 6, but actually falling pregnant is the first crucial step...so fingers crossed.
