Default Would you pause ttc for couple of mths so that your children's BD's aren't sa...

Well this belly bub was an accident but yes, we had initially planned to start TTC second child so birthdays would be apart, I was also heavily preggars during that brutal summer where it hit 47 and was regularly 40 so wasn't keen to do that again.

In saying that if I hadn't of fallen after several months I wouldn't of paused again but kept trying regardless.... All speculation now anyways lol

Welcome back @shani2 and a big congrats!!!! Three under three wow!

1&2 are close so yes, we're purposely delaying #3.

No, I wouldn't, I had twins born on DHs birthday, so that blows it all out of the water anyway. And then DS1's birthday is 13 days after that, so 4 birthdays in 2 weeks. It feels like Christmas in the hip pocket way But yeah, I wouldn't.

No. Mine are two weeks apart. It's no issue. Although I was very keen for them not to be born on th same day but it wouldn't be the end of the world if they were.

I had a miscarriage two months before we conceived DS. I wasn't going to pause TTC just so they wouldn't be born in the same month. Some positives are that it was easy with clothing etc as the seasons were exactly the same. Also handy with my maternity clothes. I didn't even were exactly the same, I already think October is going to be a magical, fun, exciting month.

We tried to time it and then it took 6 months to get pregnant. By that stage I wasn't going to stop just because it was close to Christmas and my DS birthday. Now bub is due in Jan and 2 weeks from my sons birthday and I'm just happy there is a baby on the way!

No but we deliberately avoided a Dec/Jan due date due to Christmas and school holidays.

Ds2 and 3 have their birthday on the same day. I fell first month with ds3 so wasn't expecting it at all I honestly don't mind though.

Genuine question- just wondering if it is that important.
I don't really know. I guess I haven't generally had trouble conceiving in the past. With DD I fell 1st or 2nd cycle off pill. Most recently I fell within 3 mths without timing, but that ended in a mc. I guess if we continue to have issues then that might change things. But in this case were talking about pausing next month.

I know it doesn't really matter in the end. But I guess it would be nice for my DD to have her own birthday time that isn't "shared" with her sibling if that makes sense.

I havnt read all responses but my sister and I have our birthdays 3 days apart and I never had an issue with that at all. Ok sometimes we had joint birthday parties but it never bothered me and we always had our own presents etc. Makes it easier for me not to forget her birthday as I can be awful at this!!
