    Default Centrelink question

Hello all, just a question, my Centrelink payments are odd because of my husbands business.
Now the question is....I've just completed a new estimate for next year, it is saying I am still entitled to payments, will this change after ATO contacts Centrelink or when the papers go through?

The accountant said he will do everything.

I am sure I will need to pay money back, so I'm also wondering, how long does it take for Centrelink to contact me? If, and how much money has to be payed back.

    Thank you

If you've done an estimate for next year then you won't know until after 2015-2016 financial year.

Well you can check how much you estimated and you should have a rough idea by now of your income.

It always pays to overestimate so you don't have to pay anythinch back, or just claim your ftb at the end of the financial year.

When you estimate it tells you not to include ftb

No never include ftb in your estimate. It's not income earned. You don't include. Nafiska. You'd only get a debt if your husband's actual income is way over your estimate. No ome can tell you what your debt will be till you both do your tax returns and centrelink works out what you should've received according to what you did receive. This won't happen till after financial year finishes obviously. From when you both lodge your tax returns to when centrelink works out their bit it can take a month. But that would also depend on when your work sends you your group certificate so you can do your tax return.
