They're telling the ladies they need at least 10 eggs to have at least 1 successful. They followed one woman who at her first appointment the doctor was all like "you have at least 20-22 follicles so we should get plenty of eggs for your cycle ( this was before she even stimmed.) then when she did her stimming they only got 9 and in recovery the doc came in and was like we got 9 eggs but I recommend you do another cycle just to be sure.... @$20,000 a go. She refused the offer. He seemed like a money hungry ****.

Ugh the horrible money making side of science... Sometimes it feels like a big hamster wheel!

So I decided to cancel my cycle this month. I went in for my blood test and the nurse could see I wasn't well. When I told her Iv had a fever now for almost 48hours she said she wouldn't recommend continuing but it was up to me. Iv not felt confident this month so it was a reasonably easy choice for me.

Embies still kicking along. Day 3 and we have one 4 cell, one 5 cell and one 6 cell. Scientist wasn't worried about them being a little slow today, it happens apparently. Transfer Wednesday, fingers crossed we get 2 in the freezer.

That's with embryos, Allykat111 is talking about fertilised eggs. Using the older method most eggs don't survive the defrost. Apparently there's a new method developed in the past couple of years but there aren't really any stats on it yet.
@allykat111 Hoping you feel better soon and next cycle is your cycle!
