I like it. My DS has a name that has not been popular in the last 50 years. People ask about his name all the time and the first year of his life people kept saying i should have called him Lachlan instead.

I love my sons name and it suits him so much.

I really like it. I think the only ‘bogan’ aspect is the people thinking it’s okay to comment on the name – years later by the sound of it. So unbelievably rude.

I also work at a school that has over 50% non Anglo Saxon community, so I see so many names. No name is weird to me anymore. Yes there are some I don’t like, but there are a bunch I would chose for any child of mine because they are lovely.

I think people think it’s okay to comment on names if they aren’t traditional or Anglo; when in reality, people need to back the F off.

How incredibly rude of your family and friends to say such things.

    Stuff them.
    Fwiw, I like it!

    I'm neutral. I don't love it but I don't hate it.
Do you pronounce it as kwaid? Or kade? Or something entirely different? Now that I've started writing my post I can't remember how you spelled it sorry of I've got that wrong!!

I think it's a fine name. I don't think it's bogan at all and I think those people are disgustingly rude.

I think of Quade Cooper (Union player) when I hear it

Lol that's ok, his name is Quade the best way I can describe it's pronunciation is ka-wade but with more flow if that makes sense.

The thing is, you can't please everyone. I know that some people think I'm nuts for the names we have chosen for the kids, Irish names that are uncommon here (but very common in Ireland) but so what? They totally suit them, and my kids even say they like their own names.

I am pretty traditional when it comes to names but I love the name Quade. I also love Quade Cooper

There is a famous rugby union player called Quade Cooper. It's not to my taste but I don't dislike it.
