Kieko2012 the pgs testing is similar to pgd but it checks all 23 chromosomes to make sure they are all correct not just a selected few chromosomes. Amazing ask the science that goes into it all now.
Apologies if i don't write the posts correctly is ask new to me.
    Good luck everyone.

Well I just got off the phone to the clinic. Out of our two embryos, one is at 6cells (normal is 6-8) and the other is at 5 cells. They will keep culturing both and let us know if there is any bad news on Monday. Otherwise I have a transfer appt for Mon morning!

@Lausey81, if you don't mind me asking, does your clinic do the PGS or send the embryos away, and which clinic are you at?
Im starting to think PGD/PGS might be the way to go for us.

Hi @Jk565 im with repromed in adelaide. Part of the monash group. They do all the testing themselves but not sure if that test is on site or gets sent to another clinic of theirs? They test all the chromosomes, pgs, and now it's only$ 300 per embryo but you don't get any back from medicare. Hope that info helps

How do they do this testing without upsetting the embryos? Or do they test the ones that don't make it? I never asked at my clinic about testing them.

    Default IVF/FET June July 2015

Welcome @Meshell and @FiBub76. to both of you. I cant even express how helpful this website is, everyone is super kind and wonderful. This can be a bumpy road and the best you could do is talk about how you feel (if there's people that can understand how you feel, is right here!)

Got my fingers crossed for you!

@allykat111 - I'm having PGD done at my clinic, when they test on day 3 they take 2 cells from the embryo apparently this doesn't overly upset the embryo

This cycle I'm having a different type of PGD that they do on day 5 and freeze all your embryos
