Default What's New in IVF/ICSI Land?

Hi All, well I'm going back for another stim cycle soon after nearly a year off doing to FETs and having a break. I haven't been looking at the forums much and want to know if there are any new drugs, protocols etc out there that I should ask my FS about.

One I have seen is Elonva, so I'll be asking about that. I'm also having my PGD screening on day 5 not day 3 (this will mean a freeze all but there are thoughts about the embies being damaged less)

So what else have people been finding improved results with???

I had Elonva on my first ever IVF ICSI cycle and the doctor said they've been having great results with it, with the added bonus of less needles. Happy to report I'm 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant! Good luck with your cycles xx

Elonva? So it's not a daily needle?

@Chooky79 great to hear you've had good results @chances from what I've read Elonva is just a once off injection for stimming then a top up of gonal-f if you need it

That's right Bettie, it lasts roughly a week depending on your body, and Gonal f to top up in the days prior to EPU

I'm pretty keen to try anything new at this point. Really need to find something that can help with egg quality and fertilization rates

Wow I wonder if NZ are using this?!? Not likely cause I've already received forms asking me if I'm happy to give myself the daily needle..dumb!

Default What's New in IVF/ICSI Land?

We used Elonva for our successful cycle. 1 shot lasts about 7 days, then you may have to "top up" with Gonal for a couple of days depending how your follies are looking.
We also added Luveris which I think helps with egg quality.
And I took DHEA for 6 weeks before the cycle for egg quality.
They also gave me progynova for 8 weeks before cycling, I think this is called oestrogen priming? Might be something to look into.
This combo got us 4 blasts from 7 eggs resulting in DD (11months) & 3 frosties. Much better results than our first cycle using the standard Gonal.
