DD's 5th birthday party is next month and I'm trying to figure out the food now so I can start buying everything.
It's a disco theme (food doesnt need to match that though) and will be at 2pm and goes for 2 hours. Its at a dance centre so I'm limited to what I can make. They have a kitchen but it only has a microwave. I wanted to do a few hot nibblies but I need things that reheat well in a microwave.
Also any ideas for yummy, easy party food that kids will like? Usually she has a lunch party with all the family so we do a bbq/lasagna/potato bake etc so I'm a bit lost with an afternoon tea time party!

Etc. usual stuff.
Try a platter with cheese cubes, dip and carrot sticks, crackers etc.
mini hot dogs. You can heat cocktail franks in a microwave.
Or I have seen on fb a post to heat hot dog sausages and keep them hot in a thermos, then bring your buns and sauce etc. a friend uses her sandwich press to heat buns lightly.
Precooked chicken wings could be reheated in microwave.
Cold slices of pizza

If it only goes for 2 hrs in the afternoon I wouldn't worry about too much food. I'd probably do:
Platter with crackers, veg sticks, dips & cheese
Fairy bread or sandwich quarters
Mini muffins (maybe savoury ones, assuming there will be cake)
I don't think you need much more than that.

When my DDs party was at a park I cooked puffy dogs and mini pies and then transported straight over. This is obviously only like practical if you have someone to set up for you or to do the cooking/transporting and it's located closeish to your house.
Other food ideas -
Mini Vegemite or pizza scrolls
Those little teacups made from tic tic biscuits, freckles and marshmallows
I am waiting for my brain to remember what else I serve

In all the years my 2 have had parties I've found less is more.. Kids are happy with chips , lollies and one or 2 hot things like sausage rolls /party pies.. I found they graze and are more interested in playing than eating

I don't know if I would do anything heated. At 2pm they would have already had lunch and you'll be finished before dinner.

Disco sticks - breadsticks with one end covered in icing or melted chocolate and dipped in sprinkles
Jelly cups - do a few different coloured layers
Coloured popcorn - put in cool Fluro or sequenced cones
Honey joys ( but put in coloured cases to match the theme!)
Cake ice cream cones with silver sprinkles so it looks like a microphone
You can get edible glitter so make cookies or cupcake with sparkly icing
