    Yes he did.
    When I was young we had a huge rubber/foam Mickey Mouse with wiring inside so we could position his legs and arms.
    He definitely had them.

    There doesnt seem to be any pics on google with him wearing suspenders, but he has the buttons for them!

    try to look up 'steamboat willy" , that was mickey mouse first ever film. I am pretty sure he had suspenders in that. I have no idea how to check this sort of thing. marie.

    It's like the Monopoly man, people remember him having a monocle.
    He doesn't.
    But anyone who has ever dressed up as him for fancy dress has added the monocle.
    Lots of Google images of that too.

    The most recent one I heard in regards to people dressing up as characters.
    Risky Business.
    Tom Cruise dancing in his underwear and shades.
    Only he doesn't have shades on at all.
