What do you think the mystery box is tonight?
I'm thinking photos of their families?

    Default Masterchef 2015

Just watching elim now. Not that I will be surprised at the result :-p

I feel just horrible for John. I don't think he fully understood the task and thought he had to add to what was there. Been crying my face off for him.

There's a chance my hormones are getting the better of me tonight :-)

And I'm so conflicted by Georgia now! She was effing amazing.

I just think given his cultural background and also his job he'd be good at being a team player.

I know from teaching that it doesn't matter how well you explain things, there is usually at least one person who completely misses the mark.

And I think it dawned on him afterwards - there was a moment when you could see the realisation on his face.

Or, the other option is that given his cultural background and his job, he's sick of being a team player, and wanted to make a name for himself and be a hero! It just kind of doesn't match with his personality.

I think they edited the part out where he was confused and didn't understand it because it makes them look bad, and it could explain why the team were so forgiving.

I think they should have selected the worst person from each team and put them in elimination.

I am part-way through watching the elimination, but I really hope Jarrod goes...
He is always stroking his yucky beard and greasy hair, and then touching his ingredients...it's gross!!

Yeah harvs, know what you mean re John. He seems to be really at heart, a good guy. Probably just trying to stand out too much and as you say, may have misunderstood. Still, very frustrating that he can't get the message not to overcomplicate things.

And I get you on Georgia too. She really annoyed me at first with her propensity to hyperventilate and get teary so easily but now I can see that she is actually a very good cook. I think she just needs to try and keep her emotions in check so she does not end up looking like the boy who cried wolf.

I actually felt really sorry for Jarrod after he fell over and knocked his croquettes on the floor. And I agree Harvs, the worst person from each team should just get out rather than ending others' journeys through eliminations. So in this case, John should have gone out. However I do agree J37, Jarrod's hair and beard were an issue hygiene wise. I think in general on the show, there is alot of tasting and double dipping with spoons that is pretty icky when other people have to eat that food!

Plane tickets? Maybe they're doing a destination thing? Because it's not supposed to be food or a cooking implement this time.

OK...who else thought Gary looked super-adorable in his chef's whites at the "Master-class"??
