No expectations because that usually leads to them not being met. Id love for there not to be any meltdowns!!

What would you like your Mothers Day to be like?
I've asked for breakfast in bed, although this usually means I have to sit in my room wide awake waiting for dp to organise himself, my dd school is doing a Mother's Day stall, I am unbelievably excited to see what she picks me, I told dp if he is planning to get me a present I want fabric, we will see what happens.
Edit to add my house has gastro, I'd doubt we will be doing anything now

We are doing Mothers Day the following weekend as DF has to work Mothers Day.
I would like flowers, pancakes, cuddles and a fun filled day with my babies and DF.

I am a single mum now so I am giving my mum some money to buy me a gift from ds then we are going to go to a picnic our town is putting on. Nothing special but it will be a lot better than last years one :-)

We are celebrating the following weekend as I a, working on Mother's Day. I will make other mothers feel special at work that day and it will be my turn the weekend after which I don't mind.
My perfect Mother's Day would be a sleep in, hubby going and getting me a take away coffee and not having to cook dinner. I don't want for anything so it's simple things for me.
I hope all you mums/ step mums/ single mums/mums to be and mums to angels never forgotten have a great Mother's Day.

Dream: brekky in bed with endless hot tea, a bath followed by a child and husband free day while I watch heaps of crap pay TV in my pjs, eating chocolate and doing crosswords.
Reality: lunch in a country pub with my crazy family which will invariably end with one of my siblings or dad cracking the sads about something totally random, followed by a long drive home with a tired and cranky DH and DD. Toasted sangas for dinner, a half assed attempt to tidy the house before the commencement of yet another busy working week. Oh yes and I just remembered I'm on call, so it's likely I will get a work call right on midday, just as I'm about to order lunch :-/

All I want for Mother's Day is sleep. Just hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Dd 1 and I just agreed to homemade rustic caramel tarts for my mother's day present. They are my absolute favourite. I have all the ingredients so she get some of the little to help make them. My mouth is watering at the thought.

Dream: cooked breakfast in bed, lovely time with a happy ds, then a visit to see my mum
Reality: thanks to daycare, ill most likely be spending my first mothers day lying on the couch feeling like death warmed up while dh looks after a sick ds.
