My irrit for the moment, which I think is starting to die down, is how 'trendy' the gluten free diet became and how much more eye roll I felt I got during the period it was super trendy. It was quite awkward as i'm coeliac so medically need it. To top it off I was BF my cows milk protein intolerant bub at the time so my order was a "Soy latte with a side of gluten free toast" type thing. Felt like a real knob (because I actually knew a few people who were actually said knobs and only drank soy lattes/ate gf as a fad diet lol)
This! I am on a gluten free diet and have a lot of allergies due to a medical condition. I also eat and cook various paleo and raw things purely because they generally contain foods I can eat...and foods that won't send me to hospital.

A lot of people think I am on some kind of fad diet. Oh. If only

I don't get annoyed at anything very often, but I smile at how long it can take for something to repeat itself. fashion just goes in circles. so many clothing fashions, kitchen décor, colours. The latest mothers day adverts, have old fashioned kitchen canisters and cake plates, exactly like one of my aunties had from when she was just married. 1920, maybe even 1910. funny. marie.

Exactly, I dared to describe it as such earlier in the thread then ducked for cover awaiting a torrent of responses from thermo lovers which never came bizarrely enough! My sister is a member of the cult. I attended a demo at her house where they recommended actually having your stove removed, even your whole kitchen bar the oven because thermo does everything!!!!! Awesome for the resale value of your house! Wonder how many people had their kitchens demolished?!
