I've never had trouble with my lining and these guys have me on double what I have used in the past so I'm not surprised. They gave me 35 vials of gestone - is that all you need? It was only about $16 for all of it ?!?! Also on Friday they show me the first injection, so do I have to cart the drugs back in there? @Sunnygirl04 I think we will spend some quality time eating and shopping at the V&A this arvo and tomorrow not sure yet what we will do. We have so many to-do's that we will make a decision tonight I think during dinner.

They just do the gestone there... Your nurse will give you a demo. 35 vials is 35 days worth...did you buy crinone/progynova there too? You need enough to get you to 10w with a bfp ... Ask your nurse to ensure you have enough of everything to see you through to 10w. Crinone is about $70 a box there as opposed to $120 or something stupid here. After 6w of pregnancy you alternate gestone & crinone.

Tannymac ... Woo hoo, so happy for you. Two little ones, wow, so exciting!

Thank you ladies for your responses to my Estradiol/Progynova questions. Patsy, I did try to PM you. Did you get my response? I can't find how to check.

Hmm after the gestone they provide is finished, I wonder if you can choose between pessaries, crinone or gestone. I have 3 spare boxes of pessaries and gestone but only about 15 crinone. Between the 3 I have more than enough

Yes you can Leyshoja. I got extra Gestone while in SA and stayed on it until 10 weeks. Then at various times have alternated between pessaries and crinone. In fact at 24 weeks I am still on progesterone every second day! Every time they have tried to wean me off it I have another significant bleed..

It's lucky I got the extra Gestone as I still believe it what helped us through my two early bleeds. While the OB won't confirm it I still believe I have 'issues' maintaining progesterone levels. The high dose Gestone for me was the 'golden ticket'.

When you go in on Friday to be shown how to use the Gestone you just need to take one vial, a syringe and a blue and green needle. They will show you how to do it (even draw pictures or mark injection sites with a permanent marker on your butt😱)

Yeah I bought all the gestone to get me to 10 w and bypassed crinone due to my bleeds - BTW the needles are green and black now to take in for your practice shot.
I think I've found some great accommodation on airbnb and the lovely owner is willing to hold it for me for 2 weeks until I hopefully have my treatment dates. Plus she will let me use her daughters cot for Edie!

I've put two and two together and worked out why they have so many twin pregnancies from CFC these days ! My theory...... It's the embryoscope! The brochure claims it gives up to 20% extra success but dr W thinks around 5-10% better success rates. They've only been doing it for 8 months so that's why there are more twins lately. Sounds like a good theory to me anyway and worth the extra $400 or so that it cost. Cheaper than a trip back to SA anyway.
