How exciting that you have been able to tell your family about the twins Annabelle. They must be delighted.

EmmaJane I don't think they were delighted at all. Mum was in shock and asked what I was going to do. I said nothing as both babies are perfectly healthy. If one had a problem I may have considered selective reduction. I'm just relieved that I can finally tell people

PSS, so happy that you are seeing Wazza. I sort of wish he was in Canada.

Annabelle, congrats on your 12-week, and most important, telling your parents.

    Tittle, congrats on your cutie.

AFM, So much for not stressing, apparently that doesn't work. This morning I had a miscarriage. I don't have to tell you all how awful that is. I'm in that limbo where I don't know what to do with myself. I know I should shower (it started as I woke up and I rushed to the hospital), I just want to get the telling people done. Although I am thinking about next steps, I am not sure where I go from here. I am tired and heartbroken.

My HCG was high (23,700) when they tested this morning and no one could offer any explanation as to why it happened (apparently neither chai lattes or popcorn cause miscarriages in case you are wondering). I was actually taking it really easy on the week-end.

Canuck my thoughts are with you right now. It's really hard. My friend went through the same thing in December so I am with you in your frustrations and desire for answers.

Take your time and don't be too hard on yourself. We're all gere if you need to vent.

Annabelle, I was posting as you were. I know as a single mother, my parents were not very positive on the twins idea. Actually my mother is not positive about anything I do (including going to SA for egg donation). All the single mothers by choice say that their parents all come around once the kids are here.

Quite honestly telling my mom about the miscarriage is going to be hard ('I told you not to get excited about it'), almost the hardest thing. What I'm saying is 'I get it' (and it is the same on this side of the pond). And I do think they will come around, especially if your kids are as cute as Tittle's.

Thanks Miss Sagi, I have ten frosties in SA. While it is a long flight, I think it is my only option. I was thinking of giving up, then I saw Tittle's baby...
