Default Best bouncer or swing chair.

I'm in to week three of bouncing DD's crappy bouncy chair.
she will only sleep here during the day. So, seeing as it's the one thing she's doing consistently, I think it's time to invest in something motorised.
She loves the movement once it stops she wakes so I need something that doesn't just vibrate , it needs a decent amount of movement so I can escape this sofa and get things done around here.
Anyone recommend something that worked for your baby?

We have a couple of Fisher Price 'take along swings' - I got given one and bought one second hand on Gumtree for $10- she loves the $10 one because it has lights as well. Don't spend a fortune buy second hand as they either love them or hate them I've found, - you can wash the seat fabric with the fisher price ones, and the rest is s bit of a wipe down with tea tree oil in warm soapy water to disinfect.

Yeah that's exaclty what I was thinking, I could buy one and still have to rock her with my foot like a chump! Hehe

I'd be afraid of getting a dud off eBay or Gumtree though, but I suppose at $10 it's worht a shot, well done there

Fisherprice do do seem to do the best, so that one swings forward and back?
    Any vibrations settling?

No vibrations on this one but we have a vibrating bouncer and you can take the 'vibration' box out and clip it on - does yours do that? At least with Gumtree its pick up so you can test it. Seriously so many people use them for 6 months then sell them. The one we have 'aquarium' has different rocking speeds, lights, non annoying songs x 8. You could also lend from the toy library.

Any chance of a pic of your swing, Nasim2,or model name.
I googled it and there's so many models.

emski72, I did a quick search and it would have to be an eBay or gumtree sale on that model. Can't seem to find one new.
As usual I've left everything until I'm screaming in desperation.
I want my foot back! Hehe

That's exaclty what I need, something easy to bring around with us.
We were at the beach last week and had to leave earlier than planned because she was screaming with tiredness and we couldnt get her asleep.
    Newbies! Tut!

First go went well, but there's no way in hell she's sleeping in it for me.
    Back to manual rocking

I'll give it a couple of weeks and try phase the old one out and the new one in.
It has a lovely deep seat doesn't it, looks really comfy. I'd love one myself haha.

We were gifted a bouncer by Fischer Price to see what we thought of it for my now 4 month old. Here's the link for what it is - http://www.fisher-price.com/en_AU/br...-Curve-Bouncer

It has been good. Doesn't automatically bounce but it does have a vibrating function that my boy has found soothing enough to get some decent naps in and allow me to have some time free from nursing him (He is often a cat napper during the day usually )
Also light enough to pick up easily with one hand (without bub in it ) and cart around the house. I haven't tried to pull it apart for traveling (yet) but it came nice and flat in a box and was easy to assemble so if it comes apart well too it won't take up much space at all.
It's his seat while we're having dinner too, he kicks the toys and has a grand old time.

Good luck with your search! Hope you find something that gives you a break!
