Default *Sort of spin off* workplace biscuit barrel etiquette

In the workplace, do you think it is fair enough to go digging for a Kingston at the bottom, therefore coming into contact with many other bikkies above it, or should you just take what's on top?

Oooh no. No digging but it’s fine to swish the tin gently to get the Kingston’s on top so you can just touch the one biscuit you are going to eat.

Digging is yucky! You don't know who has or hasn't washed their hands after picking their nose.

Touching other biscuits in order to grab the one you want is NOT COOL!!!

Then again, anyone who eats communal biscuits does so at their own risk. You've got to assume at least one person in every office does it

Ours is now a wide flat container which makes it easier to get goods.

I would try and tap or shake it to unveil the good ones. Or better yet just take all the ones you accidently touch. Other people won't want them right?

Digging around, no. A gentle tilt and shake to get to the one you want is fine though .

Should the person who restocks the biscuit barrel be able to 'reward' themselves by taking all of their fav variety from the multiple pack packets? What would you think if the barrel was only half empty when they restocked it, and they only did it to get their favs again?
