Dh is B- but apparently in their family some people have a weak + strain so MIL insisted I still have the anti d. The dr didn't argue when I told him why so I assumed he had heard of it - or he may have been going along with it because he knows mil in wacky and didn't want to offend her (she's a mw).

So a quick Google has shown me that it is possible to hAve a weak positive even if you are rhesus negative - if I wasn't so tired I would read it properly. Of course that doesn't answer why a rh+ person needs anti D

Mmm im not sure how it works cause I have no idea on blood group or type but I know for sure im b+ but classified as b- by the hospital. Im there this week so I will ask them for a copy of my blood test I think it has some info on there. I must be a rare case as some of the staff are also confused

Maybe this will make some sense?
