Wait, what? There are secret buttons around supermarkets?! Please tell me this is a thing that I've somehow missed my whole life that is still going on, I'm going to be looking everywhere next time I go shopping...

I've only seen them at my local coles, so not sure if they're widely available. You really can't miss them, they're giant red, noisy buttons!

There was a store like this (maybe franklins) when I was younger and I still think about it from time to time. You'd press a button and machine animals would move around the ceiling or wherever and sing. I was fascinated.

Yes, it was Franklins for me too. It closed down though so my kids don't get to have that much fun when we shop. They used to give sample doughnuts too. Best shop ever!

I feel like I've missed out on this whole culture of fun supermarkets for kids. None I have EVER been to have anything like this. When I first read the post, I thought you meant the button in the meat section to call out the butcher!

Awkward moment when someone pays you a compliment and you snort-laugh in response. 😔

I've seen it at our two Coles stores near us. DS is 11 and still loves pressing the buttons 😊

When you push on a pull door, and fully expecting it to push open you keep your stride.. and smack into the door.

Hello to the good people at Subway, for not laughing too loudly at me today
