In Canberra waiting times for the surgery he needs is a matter of months from the time of the initial referral so it's a big difference. Also the pain clinic he was attending before we left was brilliant so he'll likely go there again.

I got a job when DS was 2.5 and that was hard enough (in fact it only lasted 6 weeks because he stopped eating and sleeping). Lots of hugs Savvy

I wish i didnt have to go back. Its only 12 hours a week but its the drama that comes with working where i am. I hate it, its an endless battle to be treated fairly and with respect. I used to love my job until i made the mistake of accepting a transfer. Now it just sucks.
I think the hardest part is knowing that if we could find the $250 elsewhere each week i wouldnt need to go back.

I know im lucky with work though. Im lucky i only need to do 12 hours a week. So i probably shouldn't complain.

That's sucky but yeah, lucky you only have to work 12 hours. Hopefully it isn't too bad.

We are hoping that I might be able to be a SAHM...It just sucks that everything is so d@mn expensive these days. i think I will need to work at least part time but I'm okay with that I'd do anything to give our kids the best possible future
It sucks that your work is so drama filled CompletelySavvy - I dislike workplaces like that! Mine is becoming a lot like that and I'm sick of it. I would feel bad leaving during winter though as we get completely SMASHED here in winter.
Good thing is it's only 12 hours a week! How many days is that split over?
@Chunkydunks Wow those Toowoomba options sound awesome Waiting lists are just horrible in Brisbane. It sounds like moving back to Canberra might be a really good option, especially if DH can get the much needed surgery soon!

It's hard these days @Mamasupial. I don't know how my parents (and many others) managed on just one income. The price of everything now is just stupid and makes it so hard for so many people. Especially if you live in a metropolitan area

Yep. We live in Brisbane. I don't think we will ever own a home either.
