Really frustrates me that my DD is halfway to being a squad swimmer and I have to fork out money for school swimming where she gets placed in a group lower than her because there is noone else high enough to join her group

I could be putting this money towards an extra lesson at her swim school so she could gain her last two 50m certificates faster. Grrrr

Is school swimming compulsory? Surely they could let her off?

This. We convinced the kids' mum not to have DSD in swim lessons for term 4 this year, as she would have to go down a level and it's just not worth it.

The hub seems to be moving extra slow these days, especially with the couple threads like 'I am' etc being closed and no replacements opened. 😕

I'm not sure to be honest. If she didn't attend she'd have to go to another year level as all the grade 1 classes go together :/

I know what you mean. Not sure if it's something we can reboot though if they've been closed by the mods.

I know and I'm not questioning mod decisions. Just stating the noticeable slow down in the pace of the hub.

Oh totally. I don't understand why some people feel the need to question and put down others. Why can't people just be content to have a lighthearted thread - particularly like the "I am" threads where it is mainly just people sharing anecdotes about their days. Oh well. Hopefully something else comes around soon.
