So sorry for all that you have been put through by the people whom you thought you could trust and get support from.

Huge hugs for what your ex-husband put you through. NOBODY deserves to be abused EVER. Kudos to you for being brave enough to speak up about it and use your story to help others.

hugs to you. As long as you know what you have done to protect your family is right, that is the main thing. No one else will ever know what happened behind closed doors but your and your DH. People that feel and choose not to believe you, is their bad luck. Please stay strong, and your life will rebuild to a better one. If you have at least one friend to confide in and talk to, that is good, and hope you feel you have them to rely on. Huge hugs to you. You are doing so well, so please keep on swimming (as my mum said to me for a good few years when going through crap)

Op I get you and I get the craziness of not having words to explain when a perp is cool, calm and collected. FWIW this man gets you. He has wonderful books and you can read some of his articles here: http://www.lundybancroft.com/article...ho-abuse-women

OP you are my hero. Although I have never been through this myself I have a very good friend who described in great detail what's it's like to be a dv survivor - both the physical and psychological processes you go through, especially early on.

The first step must be so hard but you sound so strong. I hope you can take the next steps too xx
