Ah so this is completed she just needs to learn it? She told me a few weeks ago she's getting some music homework but I never expected this in depth in grade 3.
Eta - it came like this already in her homework folder and I asked her if she's learnt any of this at school and she says she hasn't.

I'm guessing she just needs to learn it if it's come in her folder like that.It seems a lot to present to a grade 3 kid all at once. In a previous incarnation I was a flute teacher and taught in a lot of grades 3/4 band type programs and if I had presented this to my students in this format, there is no way they would have memorised it all at once. Try and get her to focus on being able to identify the note "letters" first. In a practical sense it's far more useful straight up than crescendos and diminuendos. Next would be the note and rest lengths (theoretically they should be learnt at the same time, but practically most kids learn the "letters" first if they're learning an instrument). Is this for an instrumental program or their classroom music?

Sorry but that is absolutely ridiculous homework if they haven't covered it in class. She's supposed to just memorise symbols with no practical application?

Music homework
She's not learning an instrument to my knowledge I'll ask the teacher tomorrow what's the go with this homework. The whole class does music classes but I thought it was just singing and like the triangle or something.
These replies have given me a good laugh 😂😂
