Default How do you clean wooden floor boards?

As the title suggests, how do you go about cleaning your timber floorboards? Mine Have a polished finish and I struggle to get them looking beautiful without getting a floor polisher in.
So, what are your tips for getting floorboards looking shiny and beautiful?

I use the pledge cleaner for wood floors.. Just tip a cap full in a hot bucket of water and start mopping, comes up nicely.

When I was working as a cleaner we'd just use a multipurpose gel cleaner in a bucket of hot water. It has to be hot or it'll come out streaky.
