I have Asperger's Syndrome, so I'm working with a Disability Employment Service to try and help me back into the workforce. Currently looking at doing a Cert III in Business Admin to upgrade my skills, which are a little out of date.

I'm a full time student, but hopefully in 12 months will start looking for work as a secondary teacher 😊

Actually, doing a course to become a Teacher's Aide is interesting to me, but at the moment I can't afford the course fees.

I've just gone on maternity leave, but have spent the past 6 months or so working in emergency care; working with kids who have been removed from their families due to abuse and neglect. I'm a qualified and registered high school teacher, but I found teaching with a young family too tough. Full time (or even part time) positions are a way bigger commitment than I'm willing to make right now, and relief teaching was driving me nuts with not knowing in advance whether I'd be working. I do love working with teenagers though

Do you find them helpful? Disability services? I went to one when I was younger and they were hopeless!

All you need for teachers aid is mandotory reporting really and first aid then if the school is willing take you on.

I haven't been with them for long; but at the moment they seem to at least be trying to help me. It remains to be see whether they'll be successful though.
