Italian - Chianti on Hutt St.
Assaggio on King William Rd Hyde Park
French - don't bother with bistro dom on waymouth st. Overrated. Have read good reviews of a place called Le bistrot on Leigh st.
Chinese/Asian - so many good ones....
NNQ Has great reviews and has a sister restaurant called Little NNQ on Gouger St which has great reviews from people I know.
Mapo is good Korean
Ying Chow is great casual Chinese, though super busy.
Concubine is delicious Chinese, though a tad more upmarket
Golden Boy on North Terrace is delicious too.
anywhere on Gouger st is pretty safe bet for Asian.
Turkish - not sure
Peel st has more of a Middle Eastern flavour to some dishes.
Other good ones some I've tried, some I haven't, but have heard of .... Africola, hoosegow, Peel St, Bread and Bone, press,
