So we have quite a few weeks off in Jan 15 so looking to get away - and have time to save up nicely DS will be nearly 2 and we're looking to get away for about 4 weeks.

Bali, Thailand, Fiji and Hawaii don't really interest us..

What/where have you been that rocked your world and was fairly toddler friendly?

If you want to go overseas, I would recommend NZ. It's such a beautiful country, and although I haven't been there with a toddler, I would take DS there in a heart beat!

Eta: Plus the flight time isn't too bad for international.

I will second NZ if you want to go overseas. We took our boys last year. They were 2.5yrs and just turned 1 at the time. It is such a beautiful place and we had a great time. DH had family there so part of our trip was visiting the relos, but we found plenty to do with the kids. We hired a car and drove around the north island. Happy to give you more info on places we went to/stayed if you need it.

Have you visited Niagara fall or Washington dc, for kids it's one of the best place to go because there are so many zoo and museums to visit that your kids are going to love so much.
