Goodness forbid you make a tshirt look pretty and girly for your daughter. Omg the shame! Lol
How about a stitching of ribbon say two inches from the bottom with a bow in the middle. I think simple always looks most effective

If you were to do a picture on front heat'n'bond would be much much easier then sewing.

You could cut the sleeves into cap sleeves, and iron a picture onto the front. Sewing a ribbon bow onto anything makes it automatically girly
