Default Which formula did you use?

I am being bamboozled by what's out there. I do want to try breastfeeding when I have baby, but I've had trouble in the past, and want to have a tin in reserve rather than a screaming cranky baby who is not getting enough to eat.
I'm just wondering which formula people chose and why they liked that one? I'm in SA and no Aldi's or Blooms here. Everything seems to be way more complicated than last time I had a baby. Casien vs whey dominant, gold, regular etc etc. Any info anybody could impart would be great.
    Thanks in advance.

Hello. I've used both karicare aptimal and Bellamys organic. Both were fine for my bub. Out of the two I would probably go with Bellamys organic. Was gentle on the tummy and he seemed to have no issues with it.

I use S26 Gold for newborns; and my DD seems to have no problems with it.

Heinz Nurture from birth, not the gold variety, just the regular one. Fed DD2 from birth with no issues.

I'm in SA also, wish we had an Aldi here.

I use nestle nan pro gold.

There are a lot of formulas out there, it just depends on eh h one bub accepts.

A2 milk also make a formula.

    Good Luck

I have a tin of Bellamys Organic that's never been opened and I can't use it for my bub as he's intolerant to dairy.

If you decide to go with that PM me and I could give it to you as I'm in SA too and judging by the post code in your signature, not too far away.

Oh and I used Bellamys with our first born. Certified organic by a Tasmanian company. Brilliant!

    I used s26 regular.

One thing that will make it easier to decide - you don't need any of the gold formulas. They're not necessary.
