Have you considered what support you will need during your birth?
A doula can provide information and support during pregnancy, birth and the first few weeks of a newborns life.
Numerous clinical studies have found that a doula’s presence at birth:
-tends to result in shorter labours with fewer complications
-reduces negative feelings about one’s childbirth experience
-reduces the need for pitocin (a labour-inducing drug), forceps or vacuum extraction and
-reduces the mother’s request for pain medication and/or epidurals
Research shows parents who receive support can:
-Feel more secure and cared for
-Are more successful in adapting to new family dynamics
-Have greater success with breastfeeding
-Have greater self-confidence
-Have less postpartum depression
-Have lower incidence of abuse
My name is Siusan and I love watching women blossom into mothers and stand by their side during such a beautiful stage of their life.
I am currently studying Certificate 4 in Doula Services with Australian Doula College. This is the only accredited Doula course in Australia.
I am available to support women on the Mornington Peninsula
Currently my services are discounted at $352 while I am training, which includes 2 ante-natal visits, baby's birthday, which is however long until you feel comfortable, and 2 post-natal visits.
Feel free to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call on 0439967793 if you have any queries.
I am looking forward to meeting beautiful mothers and helping with their journey.
