Default Surfers Paradise: lunch and cocktail bar suggestions for adults :)

Hi everyone, we are going to Surfers for 5 nights in June- can't wait! Staying at Paradise Resort- we have stayed there once before when our boys were young- it was just what we needed- kids were spoilt for choice with activities and we had a bit of time for ourselves.

This time, we will have a 7, 8 and 2yr11mth old, who will all be enjoying one session of kids' club per day, either 10am-2pm or 4pm-8pm.

Soooo, DH and I are going to take the rare opportunity to one or two child-free lunches and maybe a cocktail bar one evening for a few hours. Does anyone have any ideas for lunch in Surfers? A nice cocktail bar? It would need to be walking distance from Paradise Resort, which from memory is 10 mins stroll north of main part.

Thanks in advance!! I am so looking forward to the holiday.

So far, I have found Sky Bar- will give that a try for something a bit spectacular. Still on the hunt for a nice lunch venue.
We also get $400 credit at the resort- what a bonus- That should take care of a few meals and activities.

Have you looked at Q1 hotel? We went to surfers in November but didn't end up going there. Apparently it's got a spa and retail precinct.

ETA just saw your comment about skybar. Views would be amazing

QT Resort is close to you and has an amazing buffet and also lounge bar (stingray lounge) too.

The hotel is really funky. You don't have to be staying there to go to the restaurant/bars

Tram stop isn't far from there and will cut out a bit of walking time to get to Cavill ave for dinner or lunch if you do that or you could go a couple stops further and go to the casino.

I haven't gone to a bar for a really long time but have had friends say melbas was nice and the clock hotel or something too?

We were there a few weeks ago and hit the markets on the beachfront in surfers one night and that was nice
