    Default Dip test in water

has anyone ever dipped a possible positive test in water and it was actually a positive??
Or if they thought the line was an evaporation dipped it and it still showed like a true positive && you were actually pregnant? Or the line disappeared showing a true negative?

I'm confused?! Not sure what dipping a test in water is going to do but dilute any possible hCG that could be present.

You mean you held the test underwater to view it? Why?

If you've got a very faint line and you aren't sure if it's real, hold it up in front of a lamp. Should make it easier to see, and test again in the morning with a First Response Early Result.

I've just read somewhere that if dipped in water for a second a true positive would stay there (( the dye doesn't fade with water)) and just wanted to see if that was true with anyone

I haven't heard that. Best advice is to retest. Did you get a picture of the test before you dipped it in water?

I haven't heard of that either. Definitely do another test. It's best not to pull tests apart etc. to try and interpret results.

These were mine a bit ago-- I've gotten a faint positive already; still waiting another week to retest so that way I definitely miss AF-- so I don't necessarily count these ones since one of them was with SMU.

Sorry but I don't see a line in either pic. How many days til AF is due?

Buy a First Response Early Result. They're the most sensitive (to ~5 HCG).

Technically I'm late-- but the doctor doesn't want to test until I've missed it for two weeks so.
I'll figure it out-- just wanted to see if anyone has done the water dip thing
