    Wth? Wouldn't a small container be just as practical and you wouldn't look like a weirdo eating from a jar.

    It's for storage purposes, it lasts longer in the glass apparently.

    Oh no. Mason jar salads are amazeballs. They really do stay so much fresher than in plastic. You don't eat from the jar, you tip it into a bowl. They have revolutionized my work lunches. 15 - 20 minutes makes 4 days worth of salads that u would never have time in the mornings to prepare.
