Thanks! I'm feeling pretty positive about it all. I'm hoping to lose at least 30kg between now and then end of the year. I think it's achievable and will work hard to get there. I want to be in better shape to give our future baby a better home

YES totally achievable! I lost the 30kg in 3 months and also a year later have kept it off.

What are some of the things you are putting in place? being organised is key I found.

Is 30kg in 3 months too much?
    How did you manage that?

That's awesome to hear that someone else has been able to push through and lose that kind of weight! I will be using Optislim initially and will then look to go back to simple healthy eating about mid year. I think meal plans and having all the right food in the house is key. Then it's harder to say oh let's just order in while the $100 worth of veggies we bought sits there and rots.

We have also been dancing at night as exercise because it's more fun than anything. We sweat like piggies but have a good time so don't realise til after the fact haha

My goal was 2kgs a week and I thought originally wow really how #@$!#$ am I going to do that! but looking back at it, it really was easier than I thought. I made the changes to the lifestyle and a year later have kept it off also.

key points for me where 1/2 glass lemon juice in warm water most mornings

20mins exercise straight after and first up in the morning - but it is how you exercise Interval training was great for me.

I did 3 gym sessions a week 45mins, slotted in some boxing sessions at night time also few times a week

night time Mark and I would walk and run light posts out the front of the house for about 20mins

Then food was portion serves and eating consistency

    Sounds good.

I just did and still do 20min of treadmill each morning (except weekend) and food portion also.

are you maintaining that excercise schedule?

have you found once you got into the habit of excercising and diet like that, that it was relatively easy to maintain as a lifestyle?

Yes once you get into the habit, and know where you do not want to go again! you will make sure you do it I so do not want to go back to triple figures! I don't train as much as what I did but I train to suit where I am at. Some weeks are more than others or less, but I know I need to do it.

    Hi Paula
I've lost 10kg since January 4th. I've bought myself a fitbit and been using my fitness pal to record my food to do so. I still have 23 KG's to lose and am hoping to have lost that by year end.
I can't afford a gym or any kind of programs so I've just been exercising from DVDs I have. Anyway I was just wondering if you ended up having a weight loss plateau and how you dealt with that?
    Thanks
