    Default Calm-birth/hypno-birth classes

    Hi ladies.

Just wondering if anyone would recommend these classes if you had also been told you are a candidate for caesarean due to sub-septate uterus (possibility the baby won't turn and will be breech at full term).

I really want to try these classes but they are expensive and if I just go in for a c-sec is it worth it? Would I still get some skills I can use in the hospital (or life in general) to justify paying for these classes and then not going through vaginal birth?

Did you do calm-birthing or hypno-birthing? I'm in Melbourne if anyone wants to recommend any teachers

I hypno birthed both my girls, never went to any classes though I just got the Melissa spilsted album off iTunes and listened to it nearly everyday from about 30ish weeks. With my first I also read the book but didn't re read it with my second the tracks were enough. May be a cheaper alternative for you. I guess it depends what kind of learner you are though.

I didn't do the classes. I wish I had. I read hypnobirthing by Marie Mongan. It helped somewhat. The class would have been better I think. I know they run them through "mama" it's a private midwifery clinic. They have several locations around Melbourne. I do mums and bubs yoga at mama and everyone is super nice

I'd still do the class. I found out classes great for understanding my pregnancy better, what my labour stages would be and it just removed all fear of labour. The cd were great too to help with relaxation. Even hubby walked away impressed and more confident with his role as a birth partner.
We went through clarity fearless birth in melbourne.

Thank you all for those insights! I am now confident that doing the classes will benefit me no matter what the outcome.
Will look into the audiobooks too.
