    Default Urgent- blood test fasting but drank juice!

    DS is having his blood work done this morning as he is starting a new medication which requires (what I assume is) full bloods.
    The note says (amongst other tests) that he is having his Lipids/LDL (fasting) done and he was meant to fast from midnight. He forgot this morning and had a few sips of juice. Will this matter????

    Unfortunately yes it can effect some tests. You'll need to go tomorrow now.

    I'm waiting for them to open at 9. I do have a feeling the sugar levels will have thrown everything off but hoping they will say it's ok as it was just a few sips. I've arranged the morning off school for him so it's more of an inconvenience now as its likely we'll need to do this all over again tomorrow..
