Thanks! I certainly don't feel all over it! 2pm. I took the day off & am just a ball of nervous energy!
We were with Genea 12 months ago, but we were in a country town where the specialist travelled to us once a month. Now in Syd so much more convenient.
Hearing a lot of comments about abrupt nurses and lack of bedside manner - was this your experience amiracle?

My appt with my nurse was good. She was happy, we could have a joke with her it was all good. Maybe I just caught her on a good day.

Unfortunately they are a bit short at times. Some are really lovely but the ones who have worked there longer were a bit 'no nonsense'. One did particularly upset me so I actually told her. To her credit she was super nice every time I called up after then. Maybe it's like any job, you get complacent and forget to put the personal touch in. Our follow up second appt with the FS was a shocker and my DH was actually upset at how he communicated but we never saw him again. Once you cycle you only see the midwives/nurses.
At the end of the day tho I got a take home baby, it cost me less than $2K all up, I could walk there from home and walk to work, I prefer the public system over a posh private clinic, I trusted their decisions and knowledge every step of the way and I'd definitely go back for a sibling.
In short, I'd recommend them
How did you go?

Great! The specialist was lovely! I was so nervous & he really put me at ease. We have to get the tests done etc. before seeing him again. Did your DH have to have a SA at Concord? The crappy thing is that I need a DIE ultrasound (which I think is just a detailed internal u/s) - there is only one person on staff who does this type of ultrasound, they only work Mondays and I have to have it between CD 5-10!! I couldn't book til the end of Sept which I'm a bit annoyed about (let's hope my cycle is regular or I'll have to change it again!). So 2nd appt booked for end of Sept. I guess not too far away, but seems like a wait!!

RPA fertility clinic
Glad your appt went well! Yep, my DH had to go to Concord which was a pain 😒
Can you not pay to get the ultrasound done privately to get the process sped up?
What fertility treatment did you have with Genea?

Hi @Corbes sounds like a good plan! I had my name down for RPA while I did my Clomid cycles with Genea.. From the first appt you get a bunch of tests to redo so you generally book a follow up appt for 4 weeks later. After that it's just meeting the nurse and and then starting when next AF comes.

Amiracle I could pay but it's $500 & the more I think about it, it's not that long a wait - I'll also be on holidays for the DIE ultrasound (which needs a bowel prep yuck!) & the follow up so won't interrupt too much work. Just need patience. Very little treatment with Genea - a few rounds of clomid & some tests.

Sumiaya , when I spoke to the nurse last week she said that when they run out of supply's at the hospital then they'll start to send out prescriptions where you have to pay the small fee. I say in a couple of weeks time when I need my new meds I bet they'll all be gone. 😞
