Yep, both of us are having procedures on Thursday. Both exciting and nervous!
I came across some YouTube clips that really helped.. There are quite a few out there where they interview donor children, husbands and wives.

I found it helped to watch 'success stories' to see that there is still light at the end of the tunnel for a healthy, close family

    We are in Sydney

I can't remember if DH has low testosterone.... We had all our tests done about 6-9 months ago.

mTESE is being done by Dr Golovsky. Has anyone used him?

yes, in either case, you will have some embies and hopefully that they find usable DH sperms. This is just the beginning of the roller coaster ride!

It took us a LONG time to get this far. Once we passed through the phase of knowing we had tried everything, we moved on with the donor. The only choice for us to have a family.

@Barca07: there is a delay on the thread. Only saw your post after i posted.

Yes, if you find the lengthy azoospermia thread, almost all NSW ladies DH went through him. Few of us from WA also had him done the mTESE, including my DH. He took our case (WA cases) when no one here was willing to help or could perform the mTESE. He is very good at what he does. Good bedside manner. If i have a good guess, he must be pairing up with my FS as well. DrM?

ps: We did the surgery and first IVF cycle 2 christmas ago. We didn't have a donor back up at the time. No medicare.

We tried IUI 4 times with donor sperm and it didnt work. Then a little over a yeat later bamg it happen naturally. We are hoping for a second one DW doesn't want to go the IUI or IVF route. But we are thankful for the beautiful girl we are blessed with.
I hope there is more success stories for tou and otger couples

@Retief congratulations on your girl. That's great news must have been a very pleasant surprise!! haha, my DH always jokes that if I fall pregnant naturally he'll ask for a paternity test. Lol!
I can understand your wife not wanting to go down IVF again... it's not fun!

they found 1 abnormal sperm in my husbands biopsy, so it is always in the back of my mind. We have a beautiful family with donor sperm, but the 'what if' is always there....
did you do anything different? Take any drugs? Diet? Etc

    Default azoospermia- Sertoli Cell Only

    @Retief: congrats!!!

Ya would like to hear more. From zero to naturally pregnant. That's an interesting case! Supplement etc?

Did the dr have the right diagnosis? Maybe u don't have genuine azoo?

Hahaha my dh said the same thing as Barca dh. He would be in serious doubt if I get pregnant. miracle does happen though.

Hi.i didnt take any drugs. I just kept the faith. And literally when I gave up a few days later we found my wife was 3 weeks pregnant. Blood tests was done and my princess is 100% mine.
8 did cut down on coffee. Cooler showers. We are hoping it will happen again but out of our hands. I feel for your DH it is the worst feeling and tou feel you no man.
I pray that yoy are blessed with your own child as well.
We are going for IUI soon using donor sperm but I still hope we fall pregant before the IUI.

@Retief: this is the best news. Perhaps your case is lifestyle causes. Anyway, My dh diagnosis is medical cause so no way to have any chance to get preg naturally. supplement, drug and even surgery didn't work for us. We r blessed to have a child and moved on now.

But good to know that there is successful case out there for those who r still trying.
