Default Living room toy storage ideas

We've just built a new house and have a lovely large open plan living/dining. I'd really like to buy some new furniture for toy storage. In our old place I just had a couple of large plastic boxes with the toys all jumbled up in there, it drove me mad to always see them and the whole house felt like a toy room.

I'd really like the new place to have a family feel that we can all enjoy so I thought some nice looking drawers or shelves that could store the toys but when they're packed away, if you didn't know there were toys in there it would just look like a nice contemporary cabinet.

    Any suggestions?

Kmart have some really nice baskets at the moment - I know it's not a cabinet .... If you're really after a cabinet, maybe a buffet?

I agree with the Expedit from ikea. We have them in the front lounge/ play room and they look nice and neat when everything is away. I also turned one end into a blackboard which looks cool

I got a box bookshelf and have a few colourful fabric drawers that go in it to store the toys, the other shelves have books etc.

Thanks! The Ikea Expedit is a great suggestion! I looked it up, they've replaced it with the Kallax which is almost the same, exactly what I was looking for

As an alternative, a website called mocka sell white toy boxes that are huge. I have two next to each other and I have cushions on top of them so they double as seats. They're only $40 each
