Such a great outcome @Soques! Thanks for sharing. Love that it was as natural as possible and your DH got to catch bub - he must be so proud of you! And Wyatt is a gorgeous name too! Blessed! Hope you are feeling good and recover quickly. 💕

So stoked - milk is in with a vengence, but since it arrived in all of its glory, bub has slept!

I know it usually takes a few days for babies to 'wake up' post birth, and routines are non existent really but since yesterday am my little man basically hasn't cried at all (just a squeak here and there a p00h grunt and a protest when changing him as its cool).

We have pretty much: fed from one b00b, (10 mins) have a nappy change/wake up, fed from the other side , 10 mins) re wrap/swaddle and into the bassinet - where he has slept consitently for 3 hours at a time before repeating! Pretty happy with that for a day 3/4 outcome so far. I am waking him (well sort of) every few hours to feed bc my b00bs are HUGE and will get too painful otherswise

I am sure I will be cursing my perfect first week or so for setting me up with unrealistic expectations for when I get home, but for now I will take it

How quickly you forget just how big your b00bs can get and where you have breast tissue (under arms, in bicep, chest & sides.

Oh and last night, did the most epic #2's I am glad I was alone for it and can tell you I think (TMI) my entire bowel was evacuated! Feeling a lot better without so much heaviness and gas!

Little man was to cranky last night. After sleeping all day. He decides to wake at about 9 pm and cry for his first time really. He's got a good set of lungs.
As I don't have my milk in yet and don't seem to have any colostrum either he was hungry - 24 hours after birth I would be hungry too...

But did get him to latch a little bit and also got his bowls working a bit, second dark green icky poop last nights nappy change.

So hoping I start having some milk come in for him today.... Or might have to get a bit of formula...

But I was able to get him down about midnight and he is still sleeping even after a nappy change. So I guess I will leave him be for a while...

Still in hospital - my whole body aches this morning from my labour workout... Even my forehead. Body temp is starting to come back into normal for me as I am feeling a bit cool which is nice...

My stitches are quite sore and I haven't got to go poop yet... Which I think I might ask for a poop softener today as they gave me iron and a vitamin c yesterday last thing I need is constipation

Okay probably way to much tmi in here...

Hey @KitiK, I have my last antenatal tomorrow at 3 & on track for tape at 5pm Wednesday. I've literally got no signs of it being sooner. My bag is packed & bub's room is all set to go with everything we need. Can't wait! So excited. Hubby flies in Wednesday 😂

Not at all @Soques! We love hearing about it (well I do!) Your body has just done something amazing, celebrate every ache! You can do anything! Dont worry too much about your milk just yet - mine came in properly yesterday so really day 4 which is normal. My DS poop has only yesterday changed from meconium black to brown peanut butter! Toast anyone? Lol. Although you wont see it, he will be getting colostrum and thier tummys are smaller than the volume of a teaspoon - so he wont be starving. He will probably lose a bit of weight in the next day or so (which is expected and ok - about 10% of initial birthweight) BUT unless the MW recommends it for some reason *if* you want to BF, try to avoid giving him formula/bottle or dummies in the 1st 12 weeks if you can! If you are happy to FF go for it - no judgement (not that you should care what any random stranger thinks anyway!) I am all for whatever works! My babies have all been sleepy on D1, then 'wake up' until they are getting a bit of milk - then they get sleepy again. He has been on your inside for so long, he probably just wants the closeness of being on your body to soothe him. You have done such a great job!! Hope you are starting to feel physically good today and you are sharing with your DH x

Pps: also had my big uncontrolable hormonal cry yesterday, everyone was annoying me and i was taking everything the wrong way - even though I knew I was doing it/what was happening. It felt good to get it out (again a normal response to the hormonal changes that happen post birth and with milk coming in!) Feeling much more settled today - I am hoping that i havent scared any of those ladies due to give birth in the next couple of months away! Lol
