Anyone else batch cooking in anticipation of babies arrival? I was really lucky with dd1 that my neighbour dropped meals off almost everyday for the first few weeks (god love her - she is 1 in a million)

We have recently moved and I don't really know anyone here so have started to freeze stuff for the family so we aren't pressured at the witching hour. So far I have frozen family portions of pumpkin soup, chicken casserole, beef stroganoff, butter chicken, spag bol, tuna mornay and fried rice... and I have also made jam. I think my cleaning nesting has been replaced with cooking nesting... interested to hear what sort of "meals" others might be prepping for some extra ideas? Not the healthiest option, but it is so much quicker to chuck on some pasta, rice or potatoes to go with a freezer meal than make it from scratch with a sceeaming baby, a needy toddler and a 7yo!

Oh that's a good idea. I haven't been doing that but I might start. I do freeze a basic tomato garlic and onion passata because it makes putting a pasta on very quick.
