Ladies, question about due dates. What due dates are you all going off-IVF transfer or early scan?
My transfer date gives EDD of 23/5, 7 week scan 20/5 and 12 week scan 17/5. I did my 12 week scan at the hospital I'll deliver at so they're using 12 week scan date. They want to induce me if I go over but there's a whole week difference between 17th and IVF due date of 23rd. And I don't want to be induced if I can avoid it!!
@ladybug, I am going off IVF transfer date which makes @BabyOB and me due about the same date. We both had a 5 day transfer on 4 August - which make due date 22 April. My 12wk scan (which they say is the most accurate) gave me an edd of 18 April (4 days earlier).

Either way I will be having my c section on 2 April which will mean I will be anywhere from 37+1 (IVF) to 37+5 (scan) gestation.

All I have left to get is baby wipes, breast pads & a dummy or 2 JIC. I've gone a little overboard but have found local buy swap sell pages great for the 'money wasters' like nappy bins etc. All of his stuff is washed, folded & hung. Just have to clean & set up his room. He is going to be in our room for a while so I'm not in any great rush. We bought a 3 in 1 portacot for our room (bassinet, cot, change table all in 1) as that is most practical for us. Hubby says he'll need to find another house as he no longer fits due to all of bub's stuff. Lol. Have my baby shower with family & friends this weekend so dare say he'll get even more spoils 30 days!

Bub's head was measuring 36wks & body 35wks at my 32+2 scan putting him in the 74th percentile so I could only imagine what he would be like if I had him on due date or over! Ouch

Well off to the general tomorrow 37w +2 tomorrow... For an ultrasound in the morning and dr appointment in the afternoon... Another All Day Event I'm sure... Have gotten more stretch marks in the last few days above my belly button... Little guy is getting longer I think in my small torso...

I will not be letting the hospital induce me unless me or baby need it for medical reasons... And "having a big baby" is not a medical reason in my book...

Had to go get some more Manchester over the weekend for baby's cot and I had to get my materinty pads, barley sugars, and some comfy pj pants and breastfeeding clothes, ended up getting some men's short sleeved button shirts in 4XL size (as I needed room for my damn boobs I really hope they don't get much bigger) from KMart... So now all packed and ready for babe whenever he is ready to be seen.

Parents are arriving in 9 days... Just some last minutes cleaning before they come...

Hope this cyclone that is forming either comes quickly or stays away... Don't need to be trying to get to the hospital in one of those... Might just have to have babe at home if that's the case 😜. (Which would be fine by me)...

Sounds like the first babes are on their way... Been getting a few interesting feelings... Probably some B&H but since I have no idea what they feel like I'm guessing... Bub has been plenty active and I am been plenty gassy, etc...

Oh and being weightless in my pool is such a great feeling... No back pain no feet swelling pain... Just nice...

So that's enough topic changes in one reply... Sorry for the ramble ladies...

Loves of love and hugs to everyone...

Thanks @KitiK and @ScubaGal. ScubaGal the recommendation for induction is from my immune specialist-apparently the placenta is more likely to play up in immune patients. I had heard that in general they didn't like IVF patients going over-but I guess that's a myth if no one has had induction mentioned. @BabyOB, are you inducing or having a c-sec? @Soques, so jealous of the pool! Good luck tomorrow.

    Hi all,

We know practically no-on here, we moved here in January, so we've had to buy everything.

Some stuff is very cheap (clothes) but other stuff is astronomical (pram, bouncer).

Given that hubby's work - for which we moved - have not been paying us on time we think we'll have to leave as soon as baby and I can travel - 6+ weeks after baby arrives.

So we really don't want to waste money buying stuff. I'll be posting a list of what we have to check with you girls, especially those on baby 2/3! @KitiK!

Getting very exciting with actual dates for c-sections!

    Belly feeling very tight today.

    HIA

@ladybug14, my baby has been transverse for all of my pregnancy - if he hasn't turned by the 8th April it will have to be a c sect. If he's turned, it will be an induction

@HavingitAll that really blows about dhs work. Whatever the circumstances it is annoying to think you put yourselves out there at an important time in your life and are repaid like that. Must be frustrating. Will your DH have a job to come home to or will he have to look? I dont want to go back to work until bub is at least 1 but $ and DH job will determine that. I was lucky 1st time I had a year and a half, 2nd time 9 months. Babies really dont need much at all - and anything you might need can be found pretty quick if necessary. My 1st one got pretty much everything bought for us or very good quality 2nd hand. 2nd one I had a bit more $ so bought more unnecessary stuff (waste!) And this one I have really skimped on most because I have already got stuff or dont see the point - except for the double pram and I will get a new cot mattress (essential - SIDS etc) oh and some blue clothes! Cant have my only boy dressed in the girls old pinkies! Haha.

I trust the medical professionals around me and will always get a 2nd opinion if something doesnt feel/sound right. Whatever reason for an induction/c section/early birth, I am sure that your medical professionals wouldn't suggest anything that would be unsafe.
