Emski - your daughter is so beautiful.

AFM: It seems real now. I've paid the agency for the donor and just paid the clinic's deposit. I have also today just sent off the order form for the medications. Feeling excited but scared, all you ladies make it seem really easy over in Cape Town. I've never travelled overseas before so I hope I feel the same way when it comes to my turn.

You will be there be fore you know it Lisa..

As for the travel bit : DH and I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to many places around the world and I can honestly say Cape Town is one of the 'easiest' places to travel in and around. You'll be fine and will fall in love with the place just like the rest of us.

    Hi lisa
Met faith yesterday and I would say if not totally confident in travelling do contact her. For us, very well travelled etc but having another local contact has been very reassuring.

    Thanks Crabby,
Yes when I receive dates I was going to contact Faith to set some things up by using her. I think this will really help us.

Thanks guys - we think she's pretty adorable.
Just got the call regarding my blood tests and apparently I've ovulated so should see AF in the next week or so which is great news...
Is anyone else going to be over there between 28May and June 4?

    Emski,
I could be over there then. I don't have my dates yet but the donor said she would be happy with end of May early June for pick up.

Emski, what a beautiful baby girl.

Lisa, like blinky, I have travelled to a lot of places and Cape Town is one of the easiest to get around. I chose to stay in a B&B as 1) I get breakfast (which is excellent) and 2) having someone to check in with and get information has been very helpful.

I am staying at Lavender House, which I would 150% recommend. I also had a very positive experience with Judy from Hedge House. Both are near the clinic. If you do have any questions, please PM me and I would be happy to answer.

Emski, your little baby girl is just adorable! Happy EPU birthday!
Is there much likeness to you? Or is she very like your DH? (Not sure if you matched donor according to your looks.)
