I was in tears watching their families plead for their lives. We will no doubt be waking tomorrow to the heartbreaking news.

I saw the best post on facey tonight - it expressed it so well:

To those who have a family member or friend who made a serious, life changing mistake and then turned their life around, we need to remember to forgive this pair. Let them live to continue to teach others not to do what they have done. Their death will only punish those who love them.

I feel numb that it's actually going to happen, I hoped that the decision would be reversed, no good will come of this and I don't believe it will be a deterrent to others.

    I stand for mercy.

The footage of the family has had me in tears all day. It's just awful.

This is just a senseless, cruel, pointless waste of life. My heart goes out to their families.

    I stand for mercy.

My stomach has been in a knot all day thinking about what these men must be going through, what it must be like to wake to your final day, hug your mum for the last time, see your last glimpse of the sun
This has been such an unnecessarily cruel process at every step.
I hope Joko feels the weight of his inaction as his head meets the pillow tonight - he'd rather reformed men die a brutal death than suffer a bruise to his own ego.

    Default I stand for mercy...

I feel Ill just thinking about them alone in their cells tonight knowing what will happen. Bloody b@rbaric. Totally unnecessary. How heartbreaking for the families.

    I stand for mercy.

I listened to a sermon by a Anglican Priest yesterday . It was about these guys and what is happening.

Anyway he said something right at the end that has stayed with me.

Exactly this. How do you hug your child knowing for sure it will be the last time you'll ever see them? How could you ever let them go? Walk away from them? The pain and suffering must be unquantifiable.
