Nothing. But let me share my story.
This morning Dh said that he had to go to the local shopping centre later that morning, he didn't day what for, so I assumed flowers for me.
Anyway I ducked out and bought a nice card for him. (While I was at the same shopping centre I saw that the florist had heaps of well priced bunches etc)
Dh came home and I had just finished arguing with my difficult 5yr old. He walk in, hands empty.
I said "what did you buy from the shops?"
He replied "a cover for my phone and charger"
I said "you were at the shops on valentines day and you didn't even buy me flowers?!" I also added, "the florist had roses for $5!!"
He approaches me to give me a hug and he looks sad.
    I started crying, yes crying.
He then walked towards the door to go back to the shops.
I yell out "Please don't go back, it's ok. If you buy me flowers, I won't except them, I'll give them to the neighbour!"
(Ps- my husband loves and worships me, he knows after 10 years of marriage that I'm a tad over the top and crazy at times)
Anyway I rang him while he was driving to apologise for crying and explained that because he was going to the shops, I assumed and expected flowers. I was just disappointed especially after arguing with Ds.
He explained that he 'was' going to buy me flowers, but got caught up in what he had to buy and also rush back home to do the gardens / lawn etc before it rains again. He said he's kicking himself for not getting them.
So he comes home with flowers and I'm overjoyed and we hug, kiss and he gets his card. (And we have a laugh about it all).
    Haha
