I think it's a great piece and I hope it makes people who are sitting on the fence when it comes to vaccinating have a good, hard think.
I'm immuno-suppressed because of my chronic renal failure and my third bub was prem and in the NICU for two months and I've often thought that many non vaxers must be in the privileged position of never having a sick, vulnerable child or an immuno suppressed mother, sister or friend because if they did, they would never knowingly put them in such danger.

very powerful article.
I hope little Griffin and his sister are free from measles. What an awful time for the family.

Yep I saw this too. Interestingly I am starting meds today that state very clearly that if I come into contact with anyone with measles or chicken pox to go see my doctor immediately (even though I'm vaccinated myself!) - immunosuppressants aren't great drugs and SO many people need to be on them for a number of reasons, as well as people who can't be vaccinated for other reasons. I also truly hope that people who don't vaccinate get a reality check reading this, they have the privilege to not vaccinate because currently so many do - and scarily I think the tables are starting to turn (see US for recent examples)

That poor family. I used to be each to their own on this subject but the last year or two I've swung. Not vaxing is selfish not just for babies but as Kitty said, immune compromised people. I couldn't imagine this belly baby with measles bc people I had come into contact with didn't vax.
And before anyone asks, yes I'm up to date bar WC which I'll be having very very soon.
